Residential pest control tends to be a year round need here in North Carolina. At some point or another we all will run into some form of a pest problem. Whether it be ants, spiders, house centipedes, or roaches, our warm climate lets insects breed run wild throughout the majority of the year. Not to worry though, if you’ve seen something skittering around your home, your local pest control heroes at Clegg’s are here to help!
Some of the most common house pests we see in NC include:
Cockroaches
These pests are all too common in North Carolina. They can carry 30+ different human-harming diseases, including E coli, Salmonella, Typhoid fever, Dysentery, etc. as well as many asthma induced allergies. There are reports that state that 1 in every 5 children has a severe allergy to the allergens carried by cockroaches, as well as studies that indicate that cockroaches are the number one feared bug by humans (a fear known as Katsaridaphobia), so it is vitally important that these pests be eliminated completely and quickly. If you have seen roaches in your home, contact our team.
Ants
Typically when you see one or two ants, you are about to see a whole lot more. Ants send their scouts out to find food/water sources, and when they find one they alert all of the worker ants in the colony to come gather supplies. If you have seen ants in your home or business, let us know and schedule your FREE initial inspection today.
House Centipedes
House centipedes look, in a word, terrifying. These scary looking insects are fast as lightning with their many legs and can grow for years in a home and get to be quite large through multiple molting cycles. They typically feed on dust mites and ants, but can be known to take out a larger prey such as spiders and roaches if forced to. Nevertheless, they are disconcerting and need to be removed. If you have seen one of these bugs in your home, contact our pest control heroes.
Bed Bugs
One of the most invasive infestations you can get, bed bugs feed on those you care about most while they sleep. If you wake up in the morning with bites on your arms or legs, you may have bed bugs. Contact our experienced team to schedule your inspection today.
Spiders
Another one of the most feared pests, spiders can be dangerous depending on their type, but scary no matter what. Don’t live with a spider infestation, call us instead and let us be your local pest control heroes.
Our Pest Control Services include:
Pest Control Programs
Clegg’s Termite & Pest Control offer a General Pest Control program that includes service for roaches, ants (except for Pharaoh, Fire and Carpenter Ants) silverfish, rats, and mice. Not sure what type of bug you have? Check out our gallery of common bugs or send a photo and we’ll identify the bug for you. The initial service consists of an Inside, Outside, and Underneath Service. If there is a crawlspace present then that area will be treated, around the perimeter of the house will be treated, and inside around the baseboards will be treated as well. Depending on the pest we are servicing for, there may be some baiting products used inside as well.
We offer a Pest Control Maintenance Program following the initial service to help homeowners keep their pest population under control. Unless there is a serious infestation, most homeowner will maintain a quarterly pest control maintenance program at their home to keep pests under control. If there is a serious infestation then Clegg’s would recommend a monthly service for the first 3 to 6 months following the initial service to get the infestation under control and then move to a quarterly maintenance program.
In addition to the General Pest Control Program, Clegg’s will tailor a pest maintenance program for whatever the pest problem may be that you are having including fire ants, centipedes/millipedes, carpenter ants, wasps, and many many more. Contact Clegg’s today.
