For over 60 years, Clegg’s Termite & Pest Control has been protecting North Carolina homes and businesses from unwanted pests. What began as a small, family-driven endeavor has grown into one of the state’s most trusted pest control providers — while keeping the personal touch and community commitment that started it all.
Our Company’s Beginning
In the early 1960s, Reverend Ralph E. Clegg, our founder, was a minister at a small church in a rural town in North Carolina. When the church developed a termite problem, the cost of professional treatment was more than the small congregation could afford. Rev. Clegg decided to learn everything he could about termites from a friend at North Carolina State University. With help from church members, he treated the church successfully.
That first treatment was just the beginning. Soon other church members needed termite control too. In 1964, Rev. Clegg incorporated Clegg’s Termite and Pest Control. What started as a few employees working from his home quickly grew as requests expanded from termite treatments into full pest control services.
