Signs of Bat Infestation

If you suspect that there are bats living in your attic there are a few different warning signs you can keep an eye out for. The first thing to look for is the bats themselves. Go into your attic and look around the rafters and the underside of the roof. Bats will often cling to the wood upside down during the day. At night, bats will leave the attic to hunt for food. You may hear fluttering in the attic or see them flying out of attic vents or out from under the eaves.

Be sure to look on the ground for bat droppings. If you see small brown pellet looking feces scattered around on the ground in your attic, you may have bats. Be careful not to touch the droppings as bat feces are known to carry harmful viruses and bacteria that can be fatal.

If you have seen bats in your attic, seen bats flying out of your home, or discovered bat droppings in your attic, it’s time to call in a bat removal specialist to safely get the bats out of your home.

Removing Bats from Your Home

It is important to remove bats from your home as soon as possible. However, bats can carry a variety of different diseases including Rabies and SARS. In addition to carrying viruses, bat feces can also be harmful to humans.Attempting to remove bats without professional help can expose you or those in your household to health issues. Additionally, bats can become agitated when being removed and can actually bite you. A bite from a bat can lead to a nasty infection or even the contraction of a virus.
