How we treat mosquitoes in Morehead City

Every job starts with a free inspection of your yard. With about 55 inches of rain a year, standing water on the Crystal Coast refills fast.

Find the breeding sites

Female mosquitoes lay their eggs in standing water, so every spot where water sits is a potential nursery. We look for all of them.

Go after the larvae

Larvae are the stage when mosquitoes are most vulnerable. Killing them before they can fly gives us a big advantage.

Check where they hide

During the day most species rest in dense brush, tall grass and holes in the ground or in trees. Knowing those spots is key to getting rid of them.

Products applied correctly

Store-bought chemicals can put kids and pets at risk when applied wrong. Our technicians are trained in the products and the process.

Mosquito control questions from Morehead City

How do I get rid of mosquitoes in my Morehead City yard?

Dump standing water, since that is where mosquitoes breed, and keep brush and tall grass cut back. DIY methods usually give only temporary relief, so professional treatment makes the real difference.

When are mosquitoes worst on the Crystal Coast?

Mosquitoes are most active in the warm months of spring and summer, and they look for a host to feed on at night. Some species survive the winter and can live six months or more.

Can mosquitoes carry disease?

Yes. Mosquitoes can carry diseases like West Nile virus and Zika. Only females bite, because the eggs they carry need nutrients from blood. The EPA mosquito life cycle guide shows how they develop in standing water.

Is the mosquito inspection free?

Yes. Call the Morehead City office or request a visit online and we will look over your yard and give you a free estimate.

Do you cover Beaufort, Atlantic Beach and Newport?

Yes. Our Morehead City office serves Morehead City, Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, Newport and the rest of Carteret County.
