How we treat termites in Morehead City

Every job starts with a free inspection. You get a written plan with your options before any treatment. Termites need moisture, so a damp crawl space makes a house easier to infest. Ask about crawl space moisture control too.

Sentricon bait stations

Stations go in the ground around the house. Termites carry the bait back and it wipes out the colony. Clegg’s is a Certified Sentricon Specialist.

Liquid treatment

Premise or Termidor applied to the soil around your foundation. Termites pass through it without noticing and spread it through the colony.

Fumigation

For drywood and powderpost termites inside wood and furniture. We’re one of the few companies in North Carolina licensed to fumigate.

Termite + pest control combo

Sentricon bundled with quarterly pest control to make coverage more affordable. Ask about it at your inspection.

Termite control questions from Morehead City

How much does termite treatment cost in Morehead City?

It depends on your home’s size, how it is built and which treatment fits. The inspection is free and you get a written price before any work starts. New customers get $100 off their initial termite service.

Is the termite inspection really free?

Yes. Our general termite inspection is free with no obligation. A termite report for a real estate closing is a separate service, so ask the Morehead City office about it.

Bait stations or liquid treatment: which is better?

Both work. Sentricon bait stations use a small amount of bait and eliminate the colony. A liquid treatment puts a treated zone in the soil around the foundation. Your inspector will recommend one based on your house and what they find.

When do termites swarm on the Crystal Coast?

Usually in spring, as it warms up and after a rain. Swarmers or wings inside the house mean a colony is close by. The EPA’s termite guide shows how to tell a termite from a flying ant.

Do you cover Beaufort, Atlantic Beach and Newport?

Yes. Our Morehead City office serves Morehead City, Beaufort, Atlantic Beach, Newport and the rest of Carteret County.
