Control Home Inspection will include a 5 point review of the items Clegg’s feels are most
important in keeping your family safe and your home protected from moisture damage, wood
boring insects, and all things creepy crawly.
- General Pests – These are the pests that we all know but hate to see, ants and
roaches being the most common. Other general pests include silverfish, rats, and mice.
We will inspect the interior and exterior perimeter of your home to identify any
harborage areas and entry/exit points that you need to correct in order to keep these
pests from making your home their permanent home. - Wildlife – Whether you have bats in your attic or moles in the front yard, we have the
experience and expertise to address any of your wildlife needs. Crawlspaces are great
hiding places for snakes, opossums, and many other types of these occasional
invaders. We try to use methods that will allow the wildlife to leave on their own safely
but are unable to re-enter the way they came in. We will evaluate your home to see
what things you can do to help prevent wildlife from causing havoc in your home and in
your yard. - Insulation – Most people are unaware that we even offer insulation services. We offer
TAP and Comfort Therm insulation. TAP is Thermal Acoustical Pest Control Insulation
and is primarily made from ground-up newspaper. The newspaper fibers are then
treated with a specially formulated borate solution to give the product its pesticide
qualities. Comfort Therm is a lightweight insulation that provides both thermal and
acoustical benefits for your home. We will make sure that the insulation your home has
in place is working to keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter while also
keeping your energy costs down. - Wood Boring Insects – Termites are definitely the most widely know wood eating
insect but there are also powder post beetles and carpenter ants to name a couple
more. Our trained field personnel will inspect underneath and around your home to
make sure that you have no wood boring insects present. We offer a liquid or baiting
option to provide the best termite protection available. **This inspection does not
include a report for real estate/home closings. - Moisture Control – Standing water in the crawlspace is more common than you think.
Moisture problems cannot only attract a wide variety of unwanted pests but also can
create an unhealthy living environment if left unattended. Clegg’s offers several
moisture control measures to help keep the area underneath your home as dry as
possible including dehumidifiers, french drains, and sump pumps to name a few.
